Introducing my
Bush Vinyl Collection
In 1997, I was 14 years old, and my very first live concert was in February with Bush in Munich. It’s an impactful experience, and I can say that even today, Bush is the band for which one travels across the country and still buys CDs despite not having a CD player anymore. At 16, I started making music, heavily influenced by the Bush sound. Several band projects later, I now play in a cover band, where „Machinehead“ and „Glycerine“ are must-haves. Even after playing them a thousand times and hearing them a hundred thousand times, the songs still give me goosebumps.
My collector’s passion for Bush vinyl records only began in 2021. I discovered my original copies of Razorblade Suitcase and Deconstructed in the basement, unfortunately with a slight water damage. Around that time, Newbury Comics was selling the numbered Yellow Version of Sixteen Stone, and I ordered it directly. That became my first Bush vinyl in over 20 years. It’s worth mentioning that I had no prior experience with vinyl and still don’t own a record player. All my vinyl purchases are driven by a collector’s passion and ideally should be „Sealed“ or, as the experts say, „Mint.“ I simply want to display them and take joy in it.
Singles, Promos & EPs
Besides the albums linked above, several additional 5″, 7″, 10″, and 12″ singles & EPs have been released. I will briefly introduce the ones I own here. I am working on a complete overview of these versions. Including the „Bullet Proof Skin“ Promo Vinyl by Institute, there have been a total of 16 EPs, singles, and promos released so far.
